The Beginning of Marneet Shepherds
German shepherds have been a part of my life for over 30 years.
I was very fortunate to have Joan Ortigara of PINEBEACH Kennels as my aunt and mentor. Joan let me pick out my first show dog when I was about 12. He was later known as CH. Pinebeach's Casanova (RED).
I spent my summers at Pinebeach and traveled the dog show circuits with my aunt and became hooked on the dog show world.
Marty married into the dog game and we established MARNEET Shepherds in 1992.
We acquired our once in a lifetime bitch "Patty." Grand Victrix French Pastry Rom, who became our foundation bitch. (she was the great granddaughter of my Casanova) Patty started us off on a great journey and we have not looked back since.
We have made many wonderful friendships and have so many crazy dog show stories that we will always cherish.
